Institute of Health Management (IHM) has started the planned establishment during the 6th Malaysia Plan, but construction began under the 7th Malaysia Plan in August 1997 with a total area of 15.9 acres and environment construction cost of RM6.5 million in Jalan Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. The construction phase is divided into two phases: the first phase contains works insfastruktur and staff quarters building which was completed in 1997. During the second phase consists of the construction of administrative offices, lecture rooms and accommodation facilities, which were completed at the end in 2000.
